Distractions

One morning last week, I found myself worrying about typical life challenges. I didn’t feel like going to yoga because I was distracted with my thoughts. I reminded myself that when I am disproportionately focusing on something, that can actually be the best time to practice yoga. So, I went, instead of cancelling, and I let myself not ruminate about the issues. When I was finished, I realized yoga had given me so much clarity and calmness. I was then able to handle the situation in a reasonable and nonreactive manner, which led to a positive outcome.
